Substation Maintenance

The schedule consists of plans and procedures that should be followed to provide preventative and corrective maintenance. This is done through periodic checks, repairs, replacements, and reports to ensure that the substation is running effectively.

Ensuring that infrastructure is well maintained by checking for flaky paint and exposed rust corrosion and performing corrective maintenance. Furthermore, we keep machinery, fences, and gates clean which develops a well-maintained site.

Equipment is inspected regularly and replaced through a regulated procedure that grants replacement based on: damage, detection of wear, equipment is irreparable or does not perform accordingly.

Transformer and circuit breaker oils are checked for contaminants, dissolved gas content, and dielectric breakdown values. All bolted connections are inspected for correct torque settings. Included is the arrangement of the substation’s bus bar and the cleaning of channels and cable trays.

A variety of pre-planned maintenance tests, minor and or critical, to measure substation performance with the provision of detailed reports that identify areas of substation improvement.

Visual and auditory system performance checks are conducted on equipment to identify and review signs of malfunction on circuit breakers, transformers, powerlines and meters.

Provision of reports detailing all inspections, findings and actions taken during the maintenance process.
